Antenatal Prep

You are growing a baby, but you are also growing into a mother. You deserve care, support and space for both.

Our antenatal sessions are a chance for us to get to know each other, explore your hopes and expectations for birth and early parenthood, and help you feel more prepared for the journey ahead. Together, we can talk through your birth preferences, consider the practical things you can put in place before your baby arrives, and make space for the emotional changes that come with becoming a parent.

Every family and every birth is different, so our time together will be tailored to what matters most to you. Whether you’re preparing for your first baby, navigating a previous birth experience, working through worries about labour, or wanting to feel more confident about those early weeks, I’m here to help you feel informed, supported and empowered in your choices.

We can explore your feeding options and talk about what to expect in the early days, whether you’re planning to breastfeed, bottle-feed or combine the two. If you’re hoping to breastfeed, we can discuss feeding cues, positioning, attachment and what those first few weeks might look like, as well as any questions or concerns you may have.

Where appropriate, I can also offer rebozo support during pregnancy. A rebozo is a traditional Mexican woven shawl that can be used to provide gentle support, comfort and relaxation. We can explore techniques to support your changing body, ease tension and encourage you to connect with your body as you prepare for birth.

We’ll also spend time thinking about your fourth trimester — how you’d like to be cared for after birth, what support you might need at home, and how you and your partner can navigate the transition together. Because preparing for a baby is about so much more than birth; it’s about making sure you feel held and supported as you find your feet in this new chapter.

My hope is that you leave our sessions feeling more confident, connected and ready to welcome your baby, knowing that you don’t have to have everything figured out before they arrive.
