Postpartum Nutrition
“Nourish to me is, nourishing food, nourishing your family, nourishing your life” - Jamie Oliver
Good nourishment in the weeks and months after birth is an important part of your recovery, helping to replenish your body, support healing and give you the energy you need as you adjust to life with your new baby.
Food has always been a big part of how I care for the people around me. I believe there is something deeply nurturing about a home-cooked meal, especially during a time when so much of your energy is devoted to caring for someone else. As a postnatal doula, I love being able to bring that same sense of care into the homes of the families I support.
During our time together, I can prepare delicious, nourishing meals and snacks for you to enjoy throughout the day, giving you one less thing to think about. From warming, gently spiced dhal and hearty soups to nourishing snacks you can reach for with one hand while feeding your baby, the focus is on simple, comforting food that helps you feel cared for.
Every family has different tastes, traditions and dietary needs, so I can tailor meals to suit you and your family. Whether you have favourite recipes you’d love me to make, particular foods you enjoy, or simply need some inspiration for easy, nourishing meals, we can work together to make sure you have food on hand when you need it most.
Because in those early weeks and months, you deserve to be nourished, too.
